My Dear Dr. Chadwick,
I am so tired
with my winters work
(as I usually am about
this time) that I
have decided not to do
any speaking after
June 1 except June 27
[page break]
when I must speak
at the [-].D.K. at
Cambridge. I hate
not to oblige you,
but must say no.
(Besides, I spoke at
that dinner 2 years
ago, or perhaps 3)
Yours cordially
T.W. Higginsons
